On April 1, Fartcoin, the flatulence-inspired meme coin built on Solana, made a noisy comeback — rising nearly 22% in a single day and outperforming better-known meme tokens like Dogecoin (DOGE) and TRUMP, the Solana-based token unofficially linked to Donald Trump.

Now trading at $0.53, Fartcoin has regained a $500 million market cap, bouncing back from a March slump where it dipped to around $200 million. Despite the rally, the token still sits about 78% below its February peak of $2.48.
Meme Token Market Heats Up
While DOGE and TRUMP only saw modest 24-hour increases of 4% and 2% respectively, Fartcoin has taken the lead during April Fools’ Day — whether by design or coincidence.
Fartcoin’s slogan, “hot air rises,” seems to have found new traction among meme traders who may be positioning for another breakout. In fact, the token has climbed over 108% in the past 30 days, signaling renewed optimism among Solana’s meme coin crowd.
Trading Volume and Visibility Surge
According to crypto influencer Artchick, the coin’s recent surge isn’t just hype:
“Fartcoin is outperforming everything on the back of tens of millions in liquidity and more than $10 million in daily volume. There’s nothing else moving like this in the meme space,” she posted on X. She also speculated that the token might be “a Trojan horse” for wider meme coin resurgence.

In addition to price action, Fartcoin’s online presence is ballooning. Engagement on X and on-chain activity both show rising interest, with analytics platform Cookie.fun tracking its growth in the “AI token” niche.
The token, whose quirky name was originally generated by an AI chatbot, now leads AI-inspired tokens with a 13.39% mindshare — the highest in its category. It also recorded the largest mindshare increase in recent days, climbing 4.5% in just three days.
Meme Market Gaining Momentum
The broader meme coin sector is also perking up, with total gains of more than 5% in the last 24 hours. For comparison, Bitcoin rose about 2% and Ethereum around 4%, based on CoinGecko data.
While it’s too early to predict a full-scale meme coin revival, Fartcoin’s unexpected surge has once again put the spotlight on the unpredictable — and often humorous — world of crypto.
